The TikTok Trend: 'Girl Dinner' - A Trendy Take on Snackin

Exploring the Trend of 'Girls Dinner': The Mini Charcuterie Board Taking TikTok by Storm

A new trend called “Girl Dinner” has appeared on TikTok. It consists of  influencers presenting a platter of  snacks, a sort of  mini charcuterie board that they say is their favorite meal when eating alone.

The dishes look absolutely delicious and mostly contain different combinations of pickles, crackers, salami, burrata or other cheese, pickles, cherry tomatoes, olives, fruit and slices of bread. There may be hummus or tapenade as a side dish.

Now we're for charcuterie - everything. You really can't go wrong, especially on warm summer evenings when cooking is the last thing you want to do. But movies aren't good at contextualizing records; They give the impression that this is the  only way to eat year-round as a single woman. No wonder, then, that they triggered an avalanche of controversy.

 What's the girls dinner trend?

Many reviewers express approval by saying, "The girls' dinner is my favorite food" and "It's literally a luxury."I love him so much. Others point out that it's simply a matter of copying what other (mainly European) cultures do at the table, especially in hot weather. They say, "In the UK they call it Picky Beats"; "I feel French when I have dinner with the girls" and "It's like a Balkan breakfast"; One video replies, "I just realized that most Germans actually  eat at girls' dinners."

However, others worry that idealizing "snacks" as main courses could lead to problems that a "girls' meal" just doesn't have enough calories contains; Trim to keep your body healthy and active  (unless you're exceptionally balanced and want more).

"I like to eat 7 little girl's meals a day" or "I call it  mouse time or  mouse meal"; some  said.Another added, "Well I guess it's a girly snack  but skip it." Many women can't make a living on such a light dinner and cling to  the belief that they should be unhealthy.

A user named @siennabeluga said: “OK I'm a pro at girls dinner. I understand girls dinners. I understand girls dinners heal your soul BUT some of these 'girls dinners' 039; Sounds a little oddly low. His video has nearly 780,000 views

As always, moderation is key.To quote one commenter, "I see [the girls' dinner] as an occasional thing." There's no better time of year than now to enjoy a deli-style girls' meal and cheeseboard. But we do realize that anyone can enjoy them, "girls" or not, and that many people  need to supplement them with "real" food.
